The California Student Opportunity and Access Program is pleased to announce: Keeping the College Dream Scholarship Program
Award
Scholarships will be awarded to previous recipients of the Rewarding College Dreams
Scholarship or Keeping the Dream Scholarship. Students must:
$1,000
Be enrolled full-time and attend a Community College and complete an Education
Plan/Transfer Agreement with the intent of transferring to a 4-year college or university.
$2,000
Be enrolled full-time and attend a 4-year college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree.
All students who meet the following criteria are eligible to participate:
Previous recipient of the Rewarding College Dreams Scholarship or the Keeping
the Dream Scholarship.
GPA of 2.5 or better.
Be enrolled or attend a community college to be considered for the Community College
Award, or be enrolled or attend a university to be considered for the University Award.
Complete the 2012-2013 FAFSA and GPA Verification form by the March 2nd Deadline.
Provide a photocopy of the Expected Family Contribution as determined by FAFSA.
Write a 500 word essay on one of the three provided prompts.
Must submit a copy of your financial aid award letter for the 2012-2013 school
year (as provided by your college/university) by August 1, 2012.
Scholarship applications must be postmarked or submitted no later than Thursday,
MARCH 15, 2012. Students are to mail or drop off their application to the
San Diego Cal-SOAP office. All materials (main application, transcript, EFC, etc)
must be sent at the same time or the application will considered incomplete.
Students will be notified by May 1, 2012 regarding their acceptance status. All
scholarship moneys will be sent directly to the college or university campus by
September 30, 2012, not before.
